The path into the woods is a mystery and can lead your heart to adventure or just peace and tranquility. The lilacs and chokecherries are in blossom and as you walk by, your clothes brush them and send out a stupendous fragrance of spring time in the mountains. Now, lilacs are not native with the aspens. This plein air oil painting was done near an early pioneer settlement in Utah, and the lilacs must have been planted by someone long ago.
